What we do

One surface.
Not a single joint.
Cast in one piece.

Stamped concrete — also called imprinted concrete — is created in a single operation: the fresh concrete is placed, coloured and then stamped with mats. The texture of natural stone, brick or timber sits directly in the slab, not in individual pavers that can shift later on.

  • You choose pattern and colour freely —
    from broken stone to timber planking.

  • The sealed surface picks up almost no
    dirt and can simply be hosed down.

  • Resistant from −50 °C to +50 °C,
    well beyond anything a Swiss winter brings.

  • Most surfaces are finished
    within a few days.

Why stamped concrete

Four reasons that matter after the first winter

The difference from interlocking pavers rarely shows on handover day. It shows after a few years of frost, wet weather and car loads.

    Seamless and always level

    Interlocking pavers sink over the years and individual stones tilt under the weight of a car. A continuously reinforced concrete slab has none of these weak points — it stays level, even where you drive over it every day.

  2. 02

    Easy to maintain

    The surface is sealed. Leaves and oil drips stay on top instead of soaking in. Water and a broom are enough to clean it, and a pressure washer if needed. The one thing that does not belong on it is road salt — use grit or sand in winter.

  3. 03

    No weeds

    Where there are no joints, nothing grows through. Weeding between pavers and topping up joint sand every year simply disappear.

  4. 04

    Frost and heat leave it untouched

    The build-up is designed for temperatures from −50 °C to +50 °C. Freeze-thaw cycles in winter and summer heat on a south-facing patio are accounted for.

Your colour not here? The colour hardener is mixed to order — greys, sand, terracotta and anthracite are standard; special colours on request.

How it works

Finished in a few days

This is how a job runs with us — from your call to a surface you can drive on.

  1. On-site consultation

    We look at the area, take measurements and bring stamping mats and a colour chart. The consultation is free and without obligation.

  2. Fixed-price quotation

    You receive a written quotation covering build-up, pattern, colour and dates. No items that quietly "come up later".

  3. Sub-base and concreting

    Excavation, sub-base, reinforcement, then the concrete — screeded, coloured and stamped while still fresh.

  4. Sealing and handover

    Once cured, the surface is cleaned and sealed. We tell you exactly what to watch out for when caring for it.

BETONLUX is not a fresh start, it is a relocation: for two decades we laid stamped concrete on building sites across Europe. We are bringing that experience to Switzerland — based in Buchs in the Zürcher Unterland.
